General Terms and Policies

Opening An Account:

Customers wishing to open an account must fill out an account application regardless if credit is required or not.  Unique Fine Fabrics reserves the right to not open an account if we feel there is not sufficient proof of activity in the trade.  If you wish to receive an account application please contact our head office at 905-851-8866 or info@uniquefinefabrics.com.

Unique Fine Fabrics Sells To The Trade Only

 

Payment Terms and Credit

Visa, MasterCard and Cheques are accepted. Standard
checks will only be accepted from accounts who have
existing terms with Unique.

Credit card payments may be processed online or by
calling customer service. Unique Fine Fabrics values
your privacy and is PCI Compliant.

Under no circumstances will Unique Fine Fabrics
accept third party credit card payments.

Applying For Credit

An application for credit is required for Net 30 Day
terms. Orders will be shipped C.O.D pending
successful establishment of credit. Please contact our
credit department if you would like to establish credit.

Overdue accounts will be charged interest at a rate of
2% per month (24% EAR).

Ordering

When ordering, please include your account number,
Unique pattern(s) and color(s) as well as the length of
cuts needed. The minimum invoice value is $25.00
and orders less than this will be charged at $25.00,
irrespective of the value of the merchandise (excludes
samples).


Cancellations

Cancellations must be called in and will be refused
once goods have been cut. Standard restocking
charges will apply if goods have been cut.

Discontinued Collections

Items not listed in this version of the pricelist are
considered discontinued. Please refer to the list of
discontinued and currently being phased out
collections on our website. Register for online
ordering to view real-time inventory and to take
advantage of our promotional pricing while
quantities last.

Shipping Information

All order are shipped F.O.B Buffalo, New York. for US
orders and Woodbridge Ontario for Canadian orders.
Orders are shipped using the most economic method,
considering time and shipment size. Standard carrier
additional handling and peak surcharges will be
applied to all shipments. Please include any special
shipping instructions when placing your order.

In Transit Damages

We take great care in packaging all goods in an
acceptable manner to ensure your order arrives in
good condition. In the event parcels are damaged in
transit the shipment should be refused at the time of
delivery for return back to us. Please contact
customer service once shipment is refused to allow us
enough time to ship out a replacement.

Fabrics And Trimming

Minimum for both fabrics and trimming orders is 1
yard per sku. Standard minimum charges will apply.
We recommend cuts be provided when placing an
order.

Memo Samples And Cut For Approvals

Memo samples are available for all fabrics and sent
no charge up to 10 per month. Additional memo
samples will be charged at $5.00 per memo. There is
no limit for customers with annualized purchases of
$5,000 or more. Additional handling may be added
should customers request expedited carrier options.

We reserve the right to limit the amount of memo
samples ordered by a customer at our sole discretion.

Cut For Approvals (CFAs) will be sent no charge.
Please indicate required yardage at the time of
ordering. Yardage will be held for 14 days following
the ordering date.


Dye Lots

Due to the difference in dye lots we cannot guarantee
the consistency of colors. For the closest possible
match please send us a clipping when ordering.

Use and Application of Fabrics

Unique Fine Fabrics makes no guarantees or extends
any warranty on fabrics which are not used for
drapery. Application of fabric other than drapery is
done at the customer’s sole discretion and
responsibility.

Application of Stain Repellent and Flame Retardants

Unique Fine Fabrics is not responsible for fabrics
which have been altered through these processes.
Goods should be checked prior to any alteration.

Trax Drapery Hardware

We are happy to provide cutting services for our
drapery hardware. A service charge of $14.99 per
order will be applied for cutting services.

Drapery rod cutting is considered a custom order and
must be submitted either via email at
orderdesk@uniquefinefabrics.com or by fax.
Unfortunately, no returns or exchanges will be
accepted for custom orders unless damaged in transit.

Unique Fine Fabrics recommends a professional
installer be used when installing Trax Drapery
Hardware.

9’+ Rod Lengths

Due to certain carrier restrictions, shipping of rods
over 8 feet in length is not available in the United
States. Please contact customer service if you would
like to place an order for a rod over 8’ feet.


Return and Claims Policy

No returns will be accepted without proper
authorization and RMA number. Please write the
RMA number on all returned packages to ensure your
credit is processed correctly and in a timely manner.

Return Period and Restocking Charge

No returns will be accepted after 14 days from the
shipping date. All cancellations and returns of cuts
are subject to a 25% restocking charge. Cuts less than
5 yards will not be accepted unless the error was our
fault. Absolutely no goods will be accepted once
they have been cut or packages have been opened
for hardware.

Workrooms and Third Party Manufactures

All workrooms and third-party manufactures are held
to the same terms and conditions. It is the customer’s
responsibility to give proper information to the
manufactures so they are able to correctly check the
pattern, color and yardage prior to commencing
manufacturing.

Limit Of Liability

The amount of claim is limited to and shall not exceed
the invoiced wholesale selling price of Unique Fine
Fabrics.
